ISO 9001:2015 Certification for ICTI's Offshore Development Center
ICTI's Offshore Development Center has successfully achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification — the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. This certification follows a rigorous 18-month process of documenting, implementing, and auditing our quality management processes, culminating in a successful third-party audit conducted earlier this month.
For our clients, ISO 9001 certification means one thing above all else: consistency. Our processes for requirements gathering, code review, testing, deployment, and incident response are now formally documented, regularly audited, and continuously improved under a structured quality management framework.
What Changed During the Certification Process
The journey to ISO 9001 was not a paperwork exercise — it genuinely changed how we operate. The most significant changes were in three areas:
- Requirements traceability — every piece of code can now be traced back to a specific requirement, which in turn traces back to a client sign-off. This has eliminated an entire category of scope disputes.
- Change management — all changes to production environments now go through a formal change request process with impact assessment and rollback planning
- Continual improvement — we now run monthly quality reviews where we analyze defect trends, client feedback, and process efficiency metrics, and generate action items to address any patterns we see
We want to acknowledge our entire team for the discipline and commitment they showed throughout this process. Certification is not the end of the journey — it's the beginning of operating to a standard that we will continue to raise.
